Analysis

1.       Was there a variety of assessment methods used by the teacher? How relevant was/were the assessment method/s used?

Yes, there are variety of assessment methods used by my resource teacher, some of these are performance-based, summative test, pen-and-pencil etc. Those assessment method used by my cooperating teacher are appropriate, relevant and align in her subject matter and in her learning targets for her to achieve the learning targets she set and to measure what she intended  to measure.

2.      Do you think the expected students’ learning behaviors indicated in the objectives were properly and appropriately assessed through those assessment methods?

Yes, the assessment methods used by my cooperating teacher are matched with the learning targets she set. And the expected students’ learning behaviours indicated in the objectives that my resource teacher sets were properly and appropriately assessed through those assessment methods she used.

My Reflections

Using appropriate assessment method is highly needed in the classroom for the teacher know how to assess properly the students. And for the teachers find out what students already know, what they want to know and what they must know and for the teacher know the weaknesses and strengthens of his/ her students. So the assessment method must be align, appropriate and relevant to the learning targets. And as future educator, this will set as my guide to act more appropriate in assessing someday when I’m in field.
